Alcoholic icedtea sorbet is simple to make and tastes sooo scrumptious. Perfect for a refreshing afternoon treat this summer or a pallet cleanser in between courses. . .
Serves 2 / 3 people
1 x bottle of Percy’s Vodka Iced Tea
60 -100 g of icing sugar.
Dissolve the icing sugar into the iced tea, pour into a shallow plastic container ( shallow, so the liquid will freeze quicker). When almost frozen scratch with a fork to break up any ice crystals and the return your iced tea sorbet to the freezer.
Drizzle with a little more iced tea and garnish with a sprig of mint out the garden and lime!
The result is super tasty sorbet.
You may want to play with the flavours a little and add more tea accordingly to your tastes. Black Tea is stronger in flavour to White Tea.
Sorbet fact for you:
The word “sorbet” is derived from the Arabic word “Sharbat” which is a mashed fruit drink. However, the root is present in such Indo-European languages as Greek and Persian for example. The English word “sherbet” entered English directly from the Turkish in the early 17th century.
